Abstract
This study analyzed research trends in studies on infant temperament based on 105 articles registered in RISS and KCI in Korea from 2010 to 2020. Most studies were found to be conducted on infants between 12 and 36 months old, focusing mainly on infant temperament, playfulness, and peer interaction. Furthermore, the most common relationships examined were between parents and infants, teachers and infants, infant temperament in relation to adaptation at daycare centers. Regarding parental variables, infants¡¯ temperaments and mothers¡¯ parenting styles were mainly studied, while studies dealing with infant temperament and teacher interaction were the most common among teacher-related variables. Of the 103 studies, most were quantitative, and the most frequently used measurement tool was the infant temperament questionnaire. Based on the results, the development of a temperament measurement tool for infants and the need for research on fathers were suggested.
